Pressure Cooker Recipe
1 cup green split peas
4 cups water
3 vegetable bullion cubes
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
a large pinch of oregano
a large pinch of thyme
1/4 cup celery
1 small onion
1 carrot
1 medium red potato
juice of 1 lemon
Begin by adding all ingredients except onion, celery and carrot to the pressure cooker and stir. Close the lid and bring to full pressure on high heat, then reduce heat and cook for 12 minutes. Remove cooker from heat and allow to cool naturally. Open the cooker and add the carrots, onion and celery. Place over medium heat and boil for another 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
